THIS Anzac Day, dawn services, marches and commemorations take place on the northern beaches.

Below is an alphabetical list, by suburb, of events held.


Dawn service at 5.30am in Dunbar Park. Walk at 11am, starts outside Avalon Public School and ends at the Cenotaph. Commemorative ceremony to follow.


Dawn service at 6am at Balgowlah RSL.


Sunset service at 5 p.m. on Collaroy Beach.

dee why

Dawn service at 5:30 a.m. at the Dee Why RSL Peace Garden.


April 24 – Anzac March from Forestville Memorial Hall to the Cenotaph, meet at 2:15 p.m. for a 2:40 p.m. departure. Service at 3 p.m. at the Cenotaph.

April 25 – 5:25 a.m. Dawn service at the Cenotaph.

Fresh water

Walk and serve from 8am at Harbord Diggers outdoor Ocean Terrace.


Dawn service at 4:25 a.m. (arrival before 4 a.m.). Memorial service at 11 a.m. Both at the Manly War Memorial, The Corso.

Dawn service at 5:30 a.m. (arrival before 5:15 a.m.).

Mona Val

March at 5:20 a.m. at the Pittwater RSL Club, followed by a dawn service at 5:30 a.m.


The walk from Narrabeen Surf Club to the Devitt Street Cenotaph begins at 11:30am (participants meet from 11am). Memorial service from 11:45 a.m.


Dawn Service at 6am at RSL Anzac Village Narrabeen (at the Montgomery Memorial Wall).

Oxford Falls

Dawn Service at 6am at Oxford Falls Peace Park.

palm beach

Dawn service at 6am at the Whale Beach Surf Club. Main service at 11 a.m. at Club Palm Beach.

Terrey Hills

Memorial service at 10:45 a.m. at the Frank Beckman Reserve.
