Memorial Day is just around the corner, and many Michiganders have loved ones who fought for our country.
Although many traditionally celebrate the weekend with barbecues, parades and visiting the graves of our loved ones, visiting a veteran’s memorial might be on your tradition list.
The four-day weekend is usually a sign that summer is just around the corner. There are a few differences between the holidays and Veterans Day. According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, Memorial Day is to remember and honor service members who have died in service.
If you’re looking for a way to remind your family what the holiday is really about, we’ve put together a list of veteran memorials you can visit throughout Michigan.
