Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Susan (Simmons) Bouchard-Kerr, of Cranston, dies at 72

Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Susan (Simmons) Bouchard-Kerr, 72, of Cranston, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Friday, July 16, 2021, at the HopeHealth Hospice Center in Providence.

She was the beloved wife of Paul A. Kerr for 24 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Eugene and Mary Rita (Dorocak) Simmons.

A longtime resident of Cranston, she loved God, her husband, family, friends, nature, animals and all living things. She graduated from Cranston East High School and received a BA from Providence College. Before retiring in 2012, she worked for RBS Citizens Bank and Metropolitan Insurance. She was also a branch manager for the RI Hospital Trust. She loved her family, her friends and going to the Twin River Casino. She was a faithful friend and companion.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her aunt, Joycelyn Simmons, and her cousins ​​Kenneth and Valina Simmons.

There will be a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday July 24 at Highland Memorial Park in Johnston.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the ASPCA and the USO.
