Judy So ​​Yu Pei, 95, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Sunday July 4, 2021. A visit will be held from 1 pm to 2 pm on Saturday July 10 at the Cedar Memorial Stateroom followed by private family service. Interment will be in Cedar Memorial Park cemetery.

Survivors include her children, James (Mia) Pei of California, Katy (Ralph) Kuo of Illinois, Angela Lee of Michigan, Chen Li (Alan) Chen of Illinois and Gary (Ling) Pei, Tom (Alice) Pei and David Pei, all of Iowa; and her grandchildren, Robert (Carol) Pei, Jon Pei, Ronald (Tania) Pei, Brandon Pei, Ryan Pei, Andy Pei, Susan Pei, Emily Pei, Paulina Pei, Alex Pei, Leo Pei, Calvin Kuo, Jeffrey ( Suzie) Lee, Brian (Eva) Lee, Wendy Sung, Frank (Angela) Sung, Amy (Chris) Broadstone, Jason Chen and Amelia (Vince) Santos. Also survived 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Pei; and his daughter, Chen Ping Sung.

Judy was born on December 12, 1925 in China. She moved to North Korea, where she married William G. Pei. They moved to South Korea during the war and then moved to the United States in 1977. Her joy was taking care of her family.

The family would like to especially thank the Living Center West and the Living Center East for the loving care they provided to Judy.
