At the Mennonite Memorial Home
Medical Transport Drivers: (licensed driver to take residents to Bluffton, Lima, Findlay doctor’s appointments)
Volunteer drivers help residents get to their appointments during the week using MHCO’s handicapped accessible van or 15-passenger bus. (Help on the days you are available.)
Indoor activities:
Play games with the residents on the 3rd. floor
Weekly nail salon at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m.
Visit and sit with the elders indoors (or outdoors weather permitting in the Sycamore garden, patio, etc.)
Tuesday evening worship at 6:30 p.m.
Help with folding the laundry (around 9:00 a.m.)
Distribute water (around 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.)
Outside work:
Weeding in the Sycamore Garden memory care area and outside resident living areas.
At Willow Ridge
Indoor activities:
Read, Reminisce and Sit with Elders
Outdoor discussions with residents
Weekly nail salon at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m.
Play piano or other instrument for seniors
Outside work:
Help with spring cleaning and landscaping activities
Fill bird feeders weekly
At Hilty Home
Indoor activities:
Conduct a Bible study (Tuesday and/or Thursday at 10:30 a.m.)
Assist in taking seniors to appointments for in-patient clinics and haircuts
Play the piano and/or another instrument for seniors
Outside work:
Assistance with cleaning and landscaping activities
At Maple Crest
Indoor activities:
Animate games and discussions with residents (Bingo and others)
Bible study leader: 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month in person at 3:00 p.m.:
Lead worship one Sunday per month (open to a flexible schedule)
Outside work:
Cleaning assistance (repairing/cleaning chairs and other items) and landscaping support
Support for indoor/outdoor resident events and activities (shopping and others)
