Patricia Lou Hayter, “Pat”, 84, died on September 25, 2021 in Clovis, New Mexico. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 1501 Sycamore Street, Clovis. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church. Pat’s final resting place will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens, Clovis, NM.
Pat graduated from Jefferson High School in Lafayette in 1954. She loved going to her high school reunions and last attended their 64th reunion in 2018. Pat trained as a surgical technician at St Elizabeth’s Hospital in Lafayette and was highly regarded for his work. On June 2, 1957, she married the love of her life; Bob, and they enjoyed the adventures of a military life in the Air Force. After living in 10 different states and England, Pat, Bob and their children were transferred to Cannon Air Force Base in 1974 and made Clovis their forever home.
Pat returned to college in 1975 and graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1976 from the ENMU Clovis campus. She worked as an orthodontic assistant for doctors Vondrak and Jennings. Pat enjoyed traveling with friends, spending time with his grandchildren, baking pies, cookies, cupcakes and cakes for family and friends, attending group exercise classes, volunteering in his church and hospital, caring for fur babies and, more recently, birds visiting her garden which she called the Bird Café. Most importantly, Pat loved to laugh and live fully with others. His lively and outgoing personality will be missed by all who loved him.
Survivors include her husband; Bob Hayter, his daughters; Terry Loudenburg (David) and Annette Marks (Rocky), his grandchildren; Brandon Loudenburg (Carly), Megan Wilhite (Jarod), Tyler Marks (Michelle) and Robert Hayter (Aspyn), and his great-grandchildren; Kyan, Rémy, Evan, Ellar, Asher and Dax. Pat was predeceased by her parents; James Fidler and Helen Fidler-Hassler, and her son; Andy Hayter.
