OSWEGO COUNTY – Oswego County Workforce New York (OCWNY) is hosting a Fall Career Fair, scheduled from 1 pm to 4 pm Wednesday, September 29 at the Fulton War Memorial, 609 W. Broadway, Fulton.
The event will bring together local employers, training institutions and job seekers with a variety of career and training opportunities.
“Our economy is struggling to bounce back from the upheaval of the pandemic and there are countless job opportunities in our region,” said Rachel Pierce, director of the employment and training division of the services department. of Oswego County. âWe hope to bring together job seekers and companies for a presentation of our local talents and employment opportunities. Helping people find jobs and helping businesses find quality candidates help our communities improve their economic futures.
Some of the planned companies are Page Trucking, Inc .; Oswego Industries, Inc .; Novelis; Mackenzie-Childs Distribution Center; Aid to the Rite; Oswego Health; Opportunities of Oswego County, Inc .; Davis-Standard; ConnextCare; Above the upper roof; and much more.

Local training centers ready to discuss their programs include Cayuga Community College, CiTi BOCES, OCM BOCES, and the National Tractor Trailer School (NTTS).
âThe Oswego County Workforce Division continues to keep the employment needs of the citizens of Oswego County at the forefront,â said Matthew Tarolli, Adult Programs Coordinator at the OCM BOCES. âThe team is constantly working with training providers to ensure adults are exposed to a variety of training options that exist in central New York City. We have been able to meet potential students on a regular basis through career fairs and referrals to our many services.
COVID-19 regulations will be observed throughout the event. All participants must wear a face mask at all times and use hand sanitizer when registering. There will also be guides to maintain six-foot social distancing guidelines.
Oswego County Workforce New York will have information on additional services for job seekers, such as CV assistance, e-learning, and funding options for training.
