Offices across the county will be closed on Monday for the Fourth of July holiday.
All administrative offices in the city of San Diego will be closed on Monday.
Household garbage, recyclables and yard waste will be picked up on a regular schedule the week of July 5 for customers served by the city’s environmental services department. Residents of other cities should check with their waste hauler for vacation service schedules.
The Miramar Landfill, Greenery and Recycling Center will be open on July 5. The sale of garbage and recycling containers, located at 8353 Place Miramar, will also be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Virtual appointments at the Development Services Department counter and inspection services will be closed. All other online services including submission of new project requests, resubmissions and payments will be available by visiting sandiego.gov/DSD.
The Torrey Pines, Mission Bay and Balboa Park golf courses will be open during normal hours – vacation rates will apply. All of the city’s skateparks will be open. The city’s leisure centers are closed. All public buildings in Balboa Park will be closed, including the Balboa Park Activity Center, Botanical Building, Casa del Prado, Municipal Gymnasium and War Memorial Building. Check with other museums and attractions for their vacation schedules.
All reservoirs except Barrett, Hodges and Upper and Lower Otay reservoirs will be open on Monday. Lake Chollas will be open from 6.30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Parking meters, time restrictions for street parking, yellow zones and street sweeping in San Diego will not apply. All other parking infractions will apply. Parking rules at Port of San Diego property and in different cities may vary.
In addition, all libraries and book pick-up service, municipal swimming pools, district open space assessment and maintenance offices, testing, employment and background information center / fingerprints from the personnel department and family justice center. People needing help with domestic violence should call 911 and / or the Domestic Violence Hotline at (888) 385-4657.
San Diego County offices will be closed Monday except for essential services, including law enforcement and emergency veterinary services.
Departmental libraries and animal shelters will be closed.
County parks, trails, campgrounds and day-use parks will be open during regular hours, with the exception of the following centers, which will be closed for the day: Fallbrook Community Center, Lakeside Community Center, Lakeside Teen Center / Rec Club, Spring Valley Gym, Spring Valley Community Center, Spring Valley Teen Centers / Rec Club and 4S Ranch Sports Park office.
San Diego County offices will resume normal hours on Tuesday.
